It was set up by Executive Order by His Excellency, the Governor of Edo State in July 2023 to build sustainable digital and data capabilities and services to better serve people, especially the most marginalized communities

Our Journey
Edo DiDA was established by Executive Order. Osa Bazuaye was appo inted as the Managing Director.
The Agency formally kicks off with notable initiatives including design sprints (capability building of civil and public servants in user-centred design)
Developed EduCert, a digital solution for registry and credentialing in the Education sector.
Developing the Edo Business Connect platform, enabling MSMEs to access government support (loans, grants, training), lodge complaints and get resolutions.
Developed digital standards to ensure high-quality state service delivery.
Certified 200 civil servants in DHIS2.
Trained over 100 civil servants in problem-solving using design sprints.
Established a data for governance portal to enable data-informed decision-making in the governor’s office and key MDAs.
Onboarded 24 MDAs (28% of the total) onto the data for governance portal
Implemented 2 data management, analytics, and intelligence platforms
Integrated high-velocity (live) data from 17 MDAs.
Collected 10,200 citizen-reported events across rural communities in 3 senatorial districts
The platform utilizes the DHIS2 for quick and efficient data submission, including real-time feedback, pictures, videos, and geographical coordinates. It supports secure data management both on-premise and in the cloud, offering easy-to-use analytics tools for insightful data comparisons.
